Professor Maluco
Professor Maluco was born in Winona Minnesota. He started training capoeira at the age of 16 (1993), in Ukiah California with Contra Mestre Amunka and Mestre Rony. Six months late, he received his first cordao. In July of 2002 Maluco completed his formatura, graduating to professor through the United Capoeira Association.
Maluco spent over a year in Brazil during three separate trips. The first trip he went with a group Mestre Accordion took in 1997; the group stayed three weeks and Maluco stayed for another six months. In 1999, by himself, Maluco went and stayed through the New Year Y2K fiasco and carnival; that was the same year Brazil celebrated its Quincentennial (500 year aniversary). The last trip he assisted Mestre Rony as a tour guide.
In February 2002 he moved to Albuquerque New Mexico, where he started Capoeira Pegadas.
He is now living in Ukiah and teaching at Capoeira Yokayo.
